Available Dogs
This week we will be introducing a number of new fur kids who are in foster care and will be ready to begin meeting Forever Families. Please check back for more information, new bios and photos.
Hello World,
My name is Shiloh and I am a little bichon boy, about 10 pounds and 10 months old who is a very happy, friendly, playful and oh-so-lucky little boy. Let’s start with why I am so lucky.
Until the other day I was living on the street. Now I have a foster Mom who takes me on walks and rides (boy, do I like the car! Mom says I’m a real gentleman because I sit quietly and comfortably in my seat), fur kids to play with and a foster Dad who gave me toys and my very own te

nnis ball. (And you should see how well I play with them.) Mom says that it doesn’t take much to get me into a ‘play mode’ - I am ready any time. I especially like to play chase and tug-of-war. My bichon foster brother and I also do a really good ‘bichon buzz.’ I’m a lot faster than he is but sometimes I let him win!
Mom says my name could be Romeo – she says I love to give kisses and to cuddle, that I am incredibly smart (I learned how to be housebroken in just one day), and that I have the cutest way of cocking my head from side to side when you talk to me. She says I concentrate really hard on what you are saying and I am a VERY good listener!
My doggy foster brothers think I’m really neat and Dad says I am a very good influence on them. (I am excellent on a leash, never pull and they can learn from me.) Dad says I am extremely friendly and an amazingly sweet little guy

who is full of love and wants to please. Dad says I like every person and dog I meet! He says I have big bright eyes that shine and smile because I’m such a happy little guy!
So if you are looking for a little love of a guy who is sweet, loving, energetic, friendly and has tons of love to give, please complete our applicationas I am waiting to meet you.

Hello Friends,
My name is Coco and I’m an eighteen month old sweetheart of a bichon. I’m a cuddler and a lover, great with other dogs, adults and children. My foster mom says I’m a very fun-loving, obedient little guy – and that I never met a person I don’t like. Mom says I’m very playful (you can ask my 70 pound foster doggy brother and Mom’s cat about that!) – and I REALLY like four-legged friends who are my own size, too!
Mom says that there is no doubt that I am VERY smart! I come when I am called and sit on command. She also says I’m a cute, sociable and a pretty confident little guy. (I’m not intimidated by size and can hold my own with bigger dogs.) Most of all I like to please my humans – and to get approval for newfound skills.
I am a good listener and a great cuddler! I like to be wherever Mom is – and when I find her I can almost always convince her to cuddle. And I love men! I stand on my hind legs to get a man to pay attention to me. Mom thinks it’s cause I know I’m a guy, too. She says I’m totally agreeable, not aggressive and I’m not needy.
I walk well on a leash and I also love the car. I like to sit positioned on the floor in the back seat, put my paws on the console between the seats and ‘ride’ the turns like a pro. (Mom suspects I have done this before!)
She says I would be happiest in a home with a doggy brother or sister---and with a family that is home a lot. And if my family could take me on lots of walks and to the dog park, I would think I was in heaven. (That and cuddling a lot, too!)
I am just a happy, fun-loving and energetic little creature who loves to cuddle and play and has a great big loving heart. If I sound like the kind of fur kid that you are looking for, please fill out an application, as I am waiting to meet you.
I’ll be looking for you.

Hello World
My name is Levi and I’m a darling little bichon boy of about 8 months, weighing 10 pounds soaking wet. I’m a silly, happy, goofy and pretty smart puppy who loves my foster Dad and have been keeping my foster Mom well entertained, as only bichon puppies can do!
I’m a happy and curious little guy who enjoys life. Mom says I’m a complete love bug and the most amazing kisser. She says I like to play with my toys (and can do so all day long, except when I’m looking out the front window.) I also like to do the Bichon Buzz – and race around the house as fast as I can, happy to be safe and protected!
You see, before I became a FurKid, I lived on the street. I learned how to take care of myself and often appear to be older than my years – but the truth is that I’m still a puppy - and happy to now be part of a family. I have a doggy foster sister who thinks I’m pretty neat (especially since Mom gave me my own toys. Before that she didn’t like me quite as much as I kind of ‘borrowed’ her toys to chew and play with!)
Once as a joke, my Mom called me Caesar (like the little dog on the cans of food). I came running to her the first time and every time since that, so they’ve been calling me that a lot. I also come when you whistle and will sit for a treat. I’m learning commands like Sit and Come. I love to ride in cars and will jump right in if I think there’s a ride coming up. Most of all I like to walk and play and watch TV with my Mom and Dad
Dad says I have the cutest way of standing on two legs and putting my paws up. He says that’s the way I say that I want to be held and loved. If you’d like a little guy who just wants to love and be loved, then you won’t be disappointed. Please complete our application and ask for Levi – ‘cause I’ll be waiting to meet you.

Hi People,
My name is Jax and I’m about an 18 month old sweetheart, a bichon mix and happy FurKid, I’m a cuddler and a lover, great with children and good with other dogs. My foster mom says I’m a very sweet and obedient little guy (about 10 pounds) who loves to be petted and held, give and receive kisses. (Actually, she says I’m a doll but I thought I had better explain!)

Dad says I am a good listener and a great companion! I like to be wherever he, Mom or the kids are - but I am not intrusive. If I can lie nearby, that is fine. If I can be in someone’s lap… well that is even better!!! Dad says that I am also a good walker and a pretty good rider (in the car, that is! ) As long as I can be with my person or family I’m very content!
Mom says there is no doubt that I am very smart! I have learned to walk on a leash, and love to go anywhere! She says I’m not excited by other dogs – I just keep on walking and smelling the flowers. I also don’t bark and am learning basic commands. Mom wanted me to tell you an example of how smart I am – and how much I want to please. Well you see one day she was in the garden. She told me to sit and wait for her in a certain place. Five minutes later she walked back to the garden – so I just went and sat in the same exact spot and waited for her. Mom was REALLY amazed at how quickly I figure that out. You see I really want to please!
Mom says I would be happiest with a family that is home a lot. And if my family could take me on lots of walks and if they like to cuddle, well I’d think I was in heaven! I am

just a happy, fun-loving and sweet little creature who never complains, loves to give doggy kisses and has a great big loving heart.
If I sound like the kind of fur kid that you are looking for, please fill out an application at as I am waiting to meet you.
Thanks a lot!

Hello Friends!
My name is Vincent van Gogh, but my friends call me Vinnie. I’m a little love bug of a guy and a true masterpiece! I’m a small one year-old male bichon who weighs a mere 10 lbs. She says I’m a very affectionate, adorable and happy little bichon who just wants to be loved for the sweet guy that I am.
Mom says I am fantastic with other dogs, young and old. But being with my “person” is my favorite thing in the world -- and I am happiest when playing with you or snuggling up in your lap. I love taking walks, riding in the car and playing run-and-chase. I am almost housebroken and Mom says I get better every day as I learn my surroundings. I am very smart, so I should be completely trained in no time.
I’m a real cuddle bug and my foster doggy brother and sister think

I’m really smart. (So does my Mom!) They say that I’m inquisitive and that I want to please.
If you look at my picture you’ll see a cute little face. What you may not know is why I was named for famous artist. Someone who once owned me cut my ear flaps very short - sometimes it looks like I don’t have any (but I do.). My Mom says that I am so adorable that you won’t even notice my short ears when my hair grows longer. And I can hear fine – just call me and watch me

run to be with you!
Please complete our application and ask for Vinnie. I am ready to find my "forever home," so I can start spending starry, starry nights with my very own forever family.

Hi People!
My name is Brody and I’m a sweet little guy of about three. My foster mom says I’m a gentle little guy who loves to sit by the front gate and watch the world go by. I’m not a barker so I can’t be a watch dog (I’m not sure what she means because I really do like to watch … people that is!)
Mom says I am a snuggle bug who is sweet and charming, gentle and loving. She says I get along great with my foster doggy brothers – and just about anyone. Mom says I must be smart, too. The first day I was with Mom I figured out the routine of the house and learned to use the doggie door, too!
I love to go for rides in the car and walks around the neighborhood. Because I weigh only a 8 lbs. she says I’m the perfect size to sit in your lap for a cuddle or two. Funny thing, that’s what I enjoy doing most!
If you’re looking for a loving companion to snuggle with you and take on walks – a little guy who is a real sweetheart and a love bug, then I’m your guy. Please complete our application – as I’ll be waiting to meet you.

A Bit About Bichons

Bichons and Bichon mixes need to be groomed regularly. When not tended to, their hair (not fur) tends to grow very long and then mat if not brushed or combed. The kindest thing we can do, when we take in a dog in this condition, is to shave it down.

In a matter of weeks, beautiful, white, healthy hair will grow. So, if you see a dog that's available and it's a little short on hair,... know that it will be a beautiful white, fluffy, haired darling within a few weeks.
