Welcome!

Every week a number of fur kids become part of Bichon Fur Kids. They are in foster care - and not yet listed on our web site. While they are part of these very giving foster families, the new fur kids are receiving lots of love, learning how to walk on leashes, ride in cars, frolic in the grass - and experiencing being around children, other dogs and sometimes cats! Our goal is for them to become the very best dogs that they can be - and to find their Forever Homes as soon as they are ready.

We add new FurKids to our family each week - so please check back often. And remember, the first step to adopt any of our FurKids is to complete our adoption application - and then to schedule your home safety check..

Mark your Calendar for the 6th Annual Bichon Bash

Saturday, May 3, 11:00am.

Cricket's Corner Dog Park, 389 Requeza Street, Encinitas, CA 92024 

The Bash is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with foster families, fur kids, new Bichon owners and long time Bichon lovers. There will be a pot luck, raffle for fabulous prizes, mini-seminars, a Bichon Q&A booth, and an opportunity to pick up lots of grooming supplies, crates, cages and other supplies at donation prices.

Click Bash Bargains  for information about our special inventory of products that will be available. Most items can be reserved by paying in advance and then picking them up at The Bash.

The Bash, and our online auction, are our most important fundraisers. They enable us to continue our rescue efforts throughout the year. Remember that parking is a bit challenging however we have the Bichon Bashmobile to drive you to Cricket's Corner. Watch for the van and the signs!

Foster Homes Needed!

As we head into the spring and summer, more and more fur kids are entering rescue.  

If you can help by fostering for a week or two, please email . We provide vetting, food, harnesses, leashes and collars – and ask you to provide a loving environment and training.

Junior Volunteers, whose families can foster, can also earn community and school credit for their help.
